Arsenal willing to sign Ajax forward Mohammed Kudus

Arsenal Team

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta might find himself in the ideal position to seize the moment to sign a young forward. Mohammed Kudus of Ajax may be available to Arsenal this summer since Chelsea is concentrating on other objectives. As Brighton advanced earlier this month, the Ghanaian was certain to be off the market. But an incident has thrown the Gunners once again into the picture.

Arsenal will try signing Kudus as Chelsea divert their interest

Several elite Premier League teams are competing for Kudus’ services following his stellar 2022–2023 season with Ajax. Despite Ghana’s elimination from the World Cup in the group stages, the 23-year-old also impressed the crowd there. Therefore, when Brighton and Ajax reached an agreement on a £34 million transfer last week, it appeared to be that they were able to pull off a major coup. The Seagulls, however, have been unable to advance in the negotiations. This is because the personal terms with the player is still not reached. If it turns out that Kudus is once again up for grabs, teams like Chelsea and Arsenal might seize the opportunity to sign him.

RMC Sport asserts that the Blues and Michael Olise have already worked out their personal differences. Arsenal would have a free run to sign the Ghanaian. This is because if Chelsea pounces for the Crystal Palace winger, eliminating the need for them to sign Kudus. Thus Arsenal will likely sign Kudus. The young player signed for Nordsjaelland as a teenager. He scored 14 goals for the club. The Danish team produces stars who go on to achieve great things. Similarly, Kudus made his move to Ajax in 2020 by impressing fans.

Gunners will benefit a lot by signing the versatile Ghanaian

Following a season in which he scored 18 goals in all competitions, the trickster now appears destined for the Premier League. Kudus feels equally at ease playing outside or in an attacking midfield position, giving Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, a variety of choices. The summer transfer window for the Spaniard has been marked by transfers of similarly versatile players. Declan Rice may operate as a holding midfielder or in a box-to-box position.

However, Jurrien Timber, who was signed as a centre back, started on the left side of the defence as Gunners defeated Manchester City to win the Community Shield last weekend. If Arsenal are serious about taking advantage of Chelsea’s interest in Olise by luring the Ghanaian to north London, the 22-year-old may put in a good word for Kudus, his former Ajax teammate.
