Arsenal want to sign Marcos Leonardo after he’s relegated

Arsenal

Arsenal continue to link with a number of new strikers. The likes of Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen have linked as of late,

But now, the Gunners are being linked with a slightly left-field striker target.

Indeed, according to Goal, the Gunners are weighing up making a bid for Marcos Leonardo in January.

This young man has been tipped for big things and a move to the Premier League for quite some time now, and now may be the time for Leonardo to make his move.

Indeed, believe it or not, Santos have just been relegated from the Brazilian first division,

And, as you can imagine, they’re having to sell some players to balance the books.

Arsenal really want to buy a striker in the january or the coming summer

At the age of just 20 and in great form, Leonardo is one of Santos’ hottest properties right now, and he could be available for a bargain fee after relegation.

This is a signing that is right up Arsenal’s street.

As we all know by now, Arsenal have a strong eye on the Brazilian market.

Edu knows all about football in his home country, and that’s why the likes of Gabriel Martinelli

And Marquinhos have made their way to north London in recent years.

With Arsenal looking for a new striker, Leonardo could be just what the doctor ordered.

Described as a ‘very good finisher’ Leonardo has been scoring on a regular basis for Santos over the past two years, and he has plenty of room to improve at the age of just 20.

Of course, Leonardo has never played top-level football in Europe,

So he may not be the striker for Arsenal to hang their title hopes on, but, at the same time,

He’s one for the future who could well hit the ground running in England.

This is certainly one to keep an eye on as we head into January.
