Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus is praised by Dutch media

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus was a real ‘nuisance’ for PSV Eindhoven defender Olivier Boscagli during Wednesday’s Champions League clash.

PSV Eindhoven ace Olivier Boscagli just couldn’t handle Gabriel Jesus as Arsenal ran out 4-0 winners.

That is the view of the Dutch media, who have moved to praise Jesus following Arsenal’s Champions League victory.

PSV went into Wednesday’s game in pretty decent form but Arsenal simply blew them away.

Bukayo Saka opened the scoring for Arsenal before Leandro Trossard and Jesus made it 3-0 by half-time.

Martin Odegaard added number 4-0, handing Arsenal a dream start to their Champions League return.

Dutch media praise Gabriel Jesus

Mikel Arteta decided to go with Jesus up top, bringing him in for Eddie Nketiah.

Jesus started the season with an injury, so Nketiah had been leading the Arsenal attack in the opening stages of the season.

The Brazilian has now laid down a marker with his goal and all-round performance,

Having been praised by the Dutch media.

Voetbal Primeur noted that Jesus was a real ‘nuisance’ for PSV defender Olivier Boscagli throughout last night’s game.

They suggested that Jesus left Boscagli in ‘constant doubt’ on whether to track him or the midfielders running into the space left by Jesus.

Jesus has brought that kind of ability to the Arsenal attack since his £45million arrival from Manchester City and it was seemingly too much for Boscagli to handle.

Arsenal will now be looking for Jesus to really kick on having made his return from another injury.

The 26-year-old came off the bench to score against Manchester United earlier this month but has now impressed in his first start of the season too.

Nketiah has been faring well but he doesn’t quite have the skillset of Jesus in terms of his outstanding movement both in behind, pulling wide and coming deep.

Arteta faces a big call on who to play up top against Tottenham this weekend,

With Jesus staking his claim for a role in the North London derby.
