ARSENAL MANAGER WORKING WONDERS THIS SEASON
Arsenal made the decision of making Mikel Arteta the manager after sacking of Unai Emery. They also appointed him because they wanted someone well connected with the club. Hence, the Gunners owners decided to bring in one of their former players. Manchester City also had to allow him to leave to let him become the manager of the Gunners.
However, they never imagined that Arteta would make Arsenal the Premier League title favourites. Although, all the people at Manchester City including the players were aware of his capabilities in the management. Hence, despite the rivalry, they respectfully talk about Arteta. Manchester City young star player Phil Foden has also praised Arteta for having a brilliant season.
PHIL FODEN PRAISE MIKEL ARTETA FOR IMPROVING THE GUNNERS
Manchester City playmaker Phil Foden has also praised the Arsenal manager. He has also said that he has great relations with Mikel Arteta. Phil Foden has further said that every City player also got on well with Mikel Arteta. Hence, this is the reason the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko from City decided to join the Gunners in the next summer transfer window.
Phil Foden speaking on the Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta further said, “They have a great manager in Mikel,” said Foden. “We all knew how he was. Mikel has great ideas and understands how we play as well. He has taken that to Arsenal and they look similar to us and look very strong.” Hence, Manchester City have a big challenge of overcoming the Gunners this season.
Manchester City are five points behind Arsenal in the Premier League table on the second place. However, both the clubs also have European competition to tackle. Hence, anything can happen between now and till the end of the season.
