Alexis Mac Allister joined Liverpool this summer from Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. The Argentine also did lots of good things for the Red’s yet. But former Arsenal player Martin Keown isn’t happy with the way Klopp using Mac Allister.
TalkSPORT pundit Martin Keown directly claimed that Liverpool boss Klopp is utilizing the Argentine in the wrong position.
This season Liverpool is doing far better than the previous season. They had a unbeaten run till Saturday and stand third in the league.
Martin Keown claim Liverpool Boss isn’t using Alexis Mac Allister in the right position
Alexis Mac Allister is sensational player. The world cup winner is fine with the ball, can create chances and even he has ability to net the ball.
In Klopps regular 4-3-3 Mac Allister has a deep role where he wasn’t regular previously. Though he put his best and day by day becoming a fantastic player for the Red’s.
But Martin Keown expressed his own views via talkSPORT, where he said :
“I think (Mac Allister) is a great player. But I am not sure he’s playing in the right role.quoted by HITC
“As wonderful as he is, he is losing the ball too much in that (number six) area.”
Keown’s thought as a midfielder Alexis Mac Allister is losing lot of the balls in the deep.
Keown about his right position
Keown was little bit right about his words. In the match against Tottenham Hotspur Argentine again played as no. 6.
But the things wasn’t only wrong with him while wrong with the whole team. Even we the unfair decisions taken by the referee against them.
Liverpool have their next match on Friday against Belgian-side Royale Union Saint-Gilloise (USG) in EuropaLeague.
Klopp can set the midfield in order of Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai where the 21 year-old Dutchman will have the deep role.
