According to reports, Arsenal are preparing a bid for Joao Cancelo in the next summer transfer window. The report also claims that the Gunners are preparing a 35 million bid. However, the report claims that the player is not convinced of the move to the Gunners. Although, he and his agent remain open to consider their options.
Arsenal can certainly offer him regular first team football. Manchester City and the player have taken the decision that it is best that the player moves on permanently. The player played on loan with Bayern Munich for the second half of the season. Pep Guardiola has confirmed that he has no personal issues with Joao Cancelo. However, the German giants are yet to make a bid for him. This is because Cancelo struggled to get in the team during his loan spell under Thomas Tuchel.
Hence, at the moment, this is an open race for Joao Cancelo. However, it looks like Arsenal or another Premier League side will win the race because of his wage demands. The player will have to take a wage-cut to make a move to FC Barcelona.
