£35m spotted in training for the first time in Chelsea’s first team

Chelsea‘s signing of £35m spotted in training for the maiden time. The defender Benoit Badiashile has now been spotted back on the grass in first team training. A tweet from the US version of the club Twitter account welcomed him back to training. This happened after a setback pushed back his recovery time.

Badiashile is yet to feature this season. So, he has been unable to prove his worth to new manager Mauricio Pochettino. However, if given a chance, it’s quite sure that he’ll prove himself right.

£35m spotted in training:

The Frenchman suffered an injury in training at the back end of last season. However, it has ended up being quite a serious one that made him out of the pitch for a long time.

The defence has seen very few changes at Stamford Bridge this season. Thiago Silva and Axel Disasi have been ever presents as constants in the middle.

Supporters will have been very pleased with Disasi’s progress, however there have been calls for the veteran Brazilian to be dropped in order to give others a chance.

Levi Colwill is a player many have wanted to see in his more familiar position of centre-back, with him up to now featuring solely on the left of defence.

However, his performances recently have suggested that he is beginning to learn the role well.

Another name who will soon be competing for a role in the backline is Badiashile. He has proven popular with supporters since his £35m move in January, though he’s yet to make his senior debut on the field in the premier league.

Pochettino is going to have a serious decision on his hands after the international break comes to an end over who will start as the full backs of his defence.

With the Frenchman preferring to play on his left side, it would make sense for him to replace Silva in the side.
