West Ham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers match preview

Premier League player

West Ham is off to the best start of their season. They are currently 3rd in the Premier League table. They have won all 4 of their last PL games and none of them was against easy opponents. The Hammers defeated Liverpool, Spurs, Villa and Everton.

West Ham is unbeaten in 7 games overall competitions. They even defeated Manchester United and surprisingly Manchester City in the EFL Cup.

Talking about Wolverhampton Wanderers, they are struggling. Wolves have had a mixed fortune this season.  They have won 5 games, drew one and lost 5 games. Wolves are currently 8th in the table.

West Ham will face Wolverhampton Wanderers on 20th November after the international break.

Predicted lineup for West Ham against Wolves

David Moyes will use a formation of 4-2-3-1 against Wolves as he did against Liverpool.
This is an extremely important season for West Ham as they look to qualify for the Champions League. But Ogbonna’s injury comes as a huge blow. The centre back has sustained an ACL injury and will possibly be out for the rest of the season.

Moyes will likely promote youngster Jamal Baptiste to the first team in his absence.

Predicted lineup for Wolves.

Manager Bruno Lage is likely to use a formation of 3-4-2-1. Wolves will have to find a way to win without winger Neto and wingback Marcal.

Neto might make a return in January whereas there are no updates about Marcal.

There are also positives for Wolves. Their star player Raul Jimenez is showing signs of getting back to his form.

Whilst Bruno Lage prefers Trincão as RW he may use Traore.

Moutinho and Ruben Neves are the stars of their midfield.

Predicted result for West Ham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Surely, West Ham will not waste this golden opportunity. If Liverpool loses their next match against in-form Arsenal, then it will be great for The Hammers.

The Hammers can surely win against the Wolves because of their attack. But a setback for them will be their defence. It is unsure that Jamal Baptiste will settle easily into the first team and play well in his first game.
