West Ham United will welcome Newcastle United at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon in a crucial Premier League encounter. 

Despite leading the game in the first half, the Hammers only managed to come away with one point against Leicester City last time around courtesy of a late equaliser from Craig Dawson. 

Following this result, the Londoners have now lost the fourth spot and are currently sitting in fifth in the table with 41 points in 25 games. Meanwhile, these two sides met in the opening fixture of this season and it ended 4-2 in the favor of David Moyes’ side.

On the other hand, Newcastle United have turned the corner following the start of the new year. The Magpies are currently unbeaten in the Premier League in 2022 and have won three games out of four. 

After impressive performances in recent weeks, Eddie Howe’s side is now out of the relegation spot, four points clear of Norwich City with one game in hand.
