ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE

United suffer Eriksen blow even before he starts

About Football Express UK

Manchester United are almost on the verge of signing the Danish playmaker Eriksen.

Eriksen has spent most of his career in the Premier League playing for Spurs. This means he won’t have a problem settling down with the environment. The demand for a player to be at the top of his game is a lot higher. This puts a lot of pressure on any player.

So, now it’s a matter of when and not if Eriksen will join the red devils. But as Eriksen is heading towards Old Trafford, the main target man for United is looking to leave.

United believes, that Eriksen can bring a calm head

The red devils believe the Danish attacking midfielder can bring a sense of calm and stability through the midfield for them. The experience that he brings to the table can gear them up with the on-set of the ten Hag era.

Eriksen has been a free agent since he left Brentford and has verbally agreed to join United on a three-year deal.

But with Cristiano Ronaldo looking to leave, the club is already facing a blow. This means, there’s no one to create the goals for. The prospect of Eriksen assisting the Portuguese legend was partly what provided ammunition to the deal.

Eriksen can be a vital asset to Manchester United as they let go of Pogba. Though, this might mean less game time for the recently out-of-form Bruno Fernandes. The signing of Eriksen also reduces the pressure on the signing of the Dutch playmaker de Jong. Though the Red Devils will still look to sign the attacking midfielder from Barcelona to strengthen their midfield and add some finesse to it.
