Transfers: West Ham in deep for Chelsea striker Broja

About Football Express UK

West Ham United have shown interest in Chelsea striker Armando Broja. West Ham has only had the services of Michael Antonio at the front ever since Sebastian Haller left for Ajax.

Although West Ham has tried Jarrod Bowen who has been in very good touch as he was pivotal for the squad that reached the semi-finals of the Europa League, Bowen has been playing out of position all season.

West Ham has not made much headway in the transfer market so far. However, according to reports, West Ham could potentially sign the striker from Chelsea.

Daily star journalist Brown believes West Ham could land the signing as Chelsea views Broja as a “Sellable Asset”.

“The owners might think, ‘Look, we’ve got a sellable asset here that can bring some money back in and help us to fund some of these transfers that we want.’ So I have a feeling Broja might go towards the end of the window, but that’ll mean West Ham waiting for him.”

Broja: A versatile forward

Armando Broja is one hell of a talent, Although not up to the Chelsea standards so far. The Albanian scored 9 goals and an assist in 38 appearances in all competitions for Southampton.

Broja is a pure striker standing at 6 foot one, He is a threat in the box. Although he is a center forward, He can play in both wings as well bringing much-needed versatility into the squad. Moreover, David Moyes will surely have an easy time handling Broja as he plays in a similar way to that of Micheal Antonio as he is a dominant player as well.

Although it is to be seen if West Ham goes for the striker as West Ham is viewing other options as well.
