Tottenham will sell Harry Winks in the Summer. Winks has had over 200 appearances for the club and has more than enough experience in the Premier League. Moreover, Tottenham have set a measly asking price of 15m.
Winks has been a loyal servant for Tottenham over the years. He was an integral part of Mauricio Pochettino‘s team. However, he has lost his touch in recent years and has seen himself out of favor under Conte.
Conte tried several midfield combinations and found his best one with Bentancur and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. Moreover, Oliver Skipp will be back next year. And as such Winks was favored less. There is no reason for Winks to stay at Tottenham as the chances of him reviving himself at the club is very low. Moreover, Winks is a talented player in his mid-twenties and he should be at a club that needs his services.
Winks would stay in the League as many teams have shown interest in the England international. Teams like Newcastle United and Southampton who are up for a rebuild in the Summer want the midfielder.
Mauricio Pochettino was full of praise
Pochettino was full of praise for Winks as he was one of the most crucial players for Tottenham at the time. After the game against Fulham where Winks scored a late winner, Pochettino was full of praise for the midfielder.
“He deserves the praise because the whole action is amazing, He recovered the ball like a full-back, we started to build from the back and then he arrived for the cross from GK, which was fantastic – we have to praise him too.
