Transfers: Tottenham is close to signing Richarlison

According to sources, Tottenham has a very good chance of signing Richarlison, Says David Ornstein. Tottenham has been busy in the transfer window as they have signed Ivan Perisic and Yves Bissouma. They look to add more players to the squad for Conte.

Antonio Conte has transformed the Tottenham side. Tottenham had a disappointing previous season as they finished in the Conference League spot. Moreover, they had a terrible start to the season under Nuno EspĂrito Santo as they lost multiple games. However, these losses made the board show the exit door to Nuno, and Conte came in.

Conte has come in and has transformed a crumbling Tottenham and managed to finish in the top 4. Tottenham hasn’t played in the Champions League since 2018 when they lost to Liverpool in the final. However, they make a return to the competition in the upcoming season. Conte would be looking to win some kind of silverware with Tottenham.

David Ornstein Assurance about Richarlison

David Ornstein had said earlier that Tottenham is very close to signing Richarlison from Everton.

“At this point in time, Everton are setting an extremely high asking price for Richarlison. Tottenham won’t come to the level of finance that Everton would be looking for at this point. But, there are a number of people around the game who think that with Everton’s financial position, they may, as the window goes on, get squeezed into accepting a lower figure for him, and that’s when Tottenham might feel that they can pounce. And, when you speak to certain sources around Everton, they think this move will end up happening by the end of the transfer window.”

Although it is unsure how Richarlison fits into the team considering Tottenham’s options, Tottenham already has the services of Kane, Son, and Kulusevski who are the front three. Moreover, they have got Ivan Perisic on a free, and Tottenham has an abundance of attacking options. It is left for the viewers to see how Conte utilizes his attacking options.
