Bayern Munich desperately wants Sadio Mane in the upcoming season. Mane had earlier confirmed his departure from the club. Even though the Liverpool board are okay with allowing Mane to leave, They won’t allow him to leave cheaply. Mane has one year left in his contract and Liverpool wants to get the most out of it.
Bayern are in the market for a couple of forwards. Their star striker, Robert Lewandowski had earlier confirmed his desire to leave the club. Lewandowski has agreed on terms with Barcelona however a bid has not been offered yet. Although the deal can break as several other top clubs have shown interest as well – Manchester United. Bayern is likely to lose Gnabry in the Summer as Arsenal are circling around. Gnabry could have a sensational return to the Etihad as he was once allowed to leave the club after being deemed a flop. Gnabry turned his career upside down as soon as he left Arsenal. He could prove his worth to the crowd that once deemed him unworthy. All these has led to Bayern Munich having an interest in Sadio Mane.
Mane’s season
Mane has been sensational for Liverpool this season, especially in the second half of the season. Mane was very crucial as Liverpool reached second place in the Premier League, While they finished runner-up in the Champions League. The forward has had a quiet previous year and as is the case, Critics wrote him off. However, Mane came back stronger this season, especially in the second half.
Mane has found the back of the net 23 times and has assisted 5 times in 51 appearances in all competitions. This impressive performance has led to Bayern’s interest in him. Although Bayern are negotiating another deal with Liverpool, it is possible for another club to swoop in.
