Moreover United only managed to accumulate 58 points throughout the season, Their worst season in a very long time.
Earlier there were reports claiming Ronaldo will stay at Old Trafford in the Summer. This was mostly as Ronaldo wants to work with Erik Ten Hag and keeps him in high regard. Moreover, he wants to win trophies with United and wanted to stay. However, United’s lack of ambition in the transfer market has made him lose his patience. Ronaldo intends to leave as he believes there is no ambition within the club. Moreover, he wants to end his career on a high and wants to win silverware. He believes United would not be able to win silverware due to their lack of ambition.
Barcelona interest
Ronaldo is looking for a move away and several clubs are in the race. Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Napoli have shown interest earlier with Roma joining later. However, in a shocking turn of events, Barcelona have joined the race for Ronaldo.
Barcelona moving in for Ronaldo is a shock since he is a former Real Madrid player. Barcelona and Real Madrid are the footballing world’s biggest rivals. There is always a level of hostility between both clubs. Players who played for both clubs have always been met with hostility from supporters of both clubs. However, it is unlikely Ronaldo will move to Barcelona as it will tarnish his legacy at Real Madrid.
Ronaldo should decide whether to stay at United or to go before it is too late. Ronaldo proved again that regardless of the circumstances he will still continue in his merry ways.
