Arsenal are going into the transfer window in the hopes of bringing in new recruits. One of the positions Arsenal need is the central midfielder spot. Arsenal have had the services of Granit Xhaka who has been a loyal servant of the club. However, Xhaka is aging and Arsenal wants a second midfielder to compete with Xhaka for the spot. Moreover, Arsenal wants the said player to take over him once Xhaka’s legs wear out.
Arsenal have targeted Yves Bissouma from Brighton and Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans. However, Arsenal can only sign one of the midfielders in the Summer. Moreover, Arsenal have preferred Tielemans over Bissouma.

“There was much talk about Yves Bissouma a few months ago, but it’s gone a little quiet recently, and it seems a move to Aston Villa is now not happening,
Still, his agent has had conversations with many top clubs in recent times, but so far Brighton want to wait for a sale: the price for Bissouma has always been close to €40/45m.
Arsenal have been following him for months but the priority is to understand if they can complete the Youri Tielemans deal. While Manchester United have yet to decide who will be the final priority target of the midfield. As I’ve written before, it could be more likely that they pursue Frenkie de Jong, but there are challenges with that deal.”
Bissouma has had a good season with Brighton who have managed to topple big teams this year. They have managed to defeat the likes of Tottenham, Manchester United, and Arsenal. While Tielemans has had a decent season, Leicester have disappointed as they finished without European football. Both players have been decent for their respective clubs and multiple clubs have shown interest in the duo.
