Arsenal have shown interest in Alvaro Morata. Morata has had a difficult period over the last couple of seasons. However, he still remains a target for big clubs.
Morata is a very good player, very technically sound, and is always happy to be a team player. He has a very unselfish presence which is on display in Ronaldo’s last year at Juventus. Morata was happy to play as a second fiddle to Ronaldo and helped him be the main man. However, he has had a difficult time being clinical in the box. He has been unable to score goals for several periods of time. Although he does bring several other qualities to the team. For instance, he has the ability to make runs that other players would not and find gaps within the defense. Even though he has difficulty maintaining consistency, there is no denying that he is a quality player.
It is the kind of quality that Arsenal are searching for. Arsenal are without experienced strikers moving on to the summer as they sold Aubameyang in January. Moreover, Alexandre Lacazette has given hints of leaving. The only ray of light they have is Eddie Nketiah however his contract situation is kind of muddled.
Arsenal desperately needs an experienced striker in the team. Morata is the one who could fill in that role as Arsenal have shown interest in him.
Conte rates Morata highly
Alvaro Morata has been rated highly by Tottenham manager Antonio Conte. Conte has hailed Morata as a complete player back in 2017.
“I like Alvaro because he is a complete player and also has a lot of room to improve, He’s very committed and his behaviour is fantastic. He is a very polite player — I like this — and I like his finishing. Morata feels the goal in every moment — he’s very good at understanding which is the best position in the box to receive the ball, to understand where the ball is going.”
