TRANSFERS: Arsenal confirms exit of four players

Arsenal

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have confirmed exits of four of their players leaving the Emirates this summer in the transfer window.

One of their most prominent players in recent times, Alexandre Lacazette has officially left the club ahead of the next season. The player has made a move away from the Emirates and a return to the Ligue 1 side, Lyon.

Moreover, Arteta’s Gunners are up and running in the transfer window in order to make key signings. Replacing the Lyon forward with another class forward, Gabriel Jesus, the club seems to have covered the frontline this summer.

However, with new signings made, the gaffer has also made sure the exits of few players who could not fit in the squad.

Changes made by Arsenal

After letting go off Lacazette, the club chief Edu and Gunners boss Arteta sat down to discuss further exits.

Arsenal are engineering the exits of at least three more players this summer before the summer transfer window concludes. Joel Lopes, Jordan McEneff, and Jonathan Dinzeyi are the three names on the list for the move away from the Emirates.

The trio hoped to make the cut in the first team setup but ended up spending time on the side-lines. Moreover, losing out on the Champions League spot last season to local rivals Tottenham has hurt Arsenal to levels.

Arsenal are in the hope to compete for titles next season and bring back Champions League football to the Emirates. An overhaul is seen with the gaffer making vital signings and letting go off players he doesn’t count on.

There could be a few more exits before the transfer window concludes while the squad continues to prepare for the pre-season.
