Tottenham Hotspurs have fallen off ever since the Champions League final against Liverpool. The decision to fire Mourinho was wrong and the Nuno Espirito manager stint did not work out.
Spurs were also in danger of losing their star player Harry Kane but for now, that issue is solved. Finally, Tottenham Hotspur signed Antonio Conte, an excellent manager who wins trophies everywhere he goes.
Conte has a reputation for dragging teams out of the mud. His first wish is to sign another striker.
Strikers which Tottenham Hotspurs can sign.
Erling Haaland
The Norwegian international is arguably the best youngster in the world. Even ahead of Kylian Mbappe, he has made a formidable name for himself.
Whilst all the big clubs are monitoring the situation, it is not only about money. Haaland would look forward to playing in a big team with a rich history and a sustainable sporting project.
Tottenham can plan accordingly but they cannot compete with the likes of Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern.
Dusan Vlahovic
According to Corriere Dello Sport, Tottenham is leading the race to sign Vlahovic. Manchester City and Arsenal are also reportedly interested in signing the Serbian International.
Dusan Vlahovic has scored 10 goals in 13 games for Fiorentina. They do not want to lose another star to a team in their league. Just like they sold Chiesa to Juventus. Hence they have raised the transfer fee to £70 million.
Harry Kane is still present and Tottenham Hotspurs will try to keep him. Daniel Levy has pulled off a masterstroke.
Manchester City may cash out for Harry Kane since he had wished to leave last season. Even if Harry Kane stays, Manchester City unlike Spurs will compete for Haaland.
Either way, Tottenham Hotspurs have a world-class striker or possibly two strikers with them.
Antonio Conte is looking to sign youth players from Serie A and Fabricio Patrici has the same motives.
The transfer of Vlahovic will have to wait until January. If it goes through then it can be the beginning of a rebuild by Conte.
