Tottenham Hotspurs Looking to sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea

About Football Express UK

Tottenham Hotspurs manager Antonio Conte is looking to sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea.

According to a report from CalcioMercato, Tottenham has placed the signing of Romelu Lukaku as their priority. This is because the club has lost out on 2 major signings. Juventus have completed the signing of Dusan Vlahovic and Barcelona have completed the loan signing of Adama Traore.

Tottenham is looking to prepare for a future without their star Harry Kane. This is because Manchester City is still looking to sign a top striker and had feigned interest in Kane last year.

Hotspurs manager, Antonio Conte is aware of the dicey situation between Lukaku and Chelsea.

Lukaku’s interview on December 31st created problems.

The Belgian spiked tension between the club after speaking about his old club Inter in interviews. Though Tuchel has stated that the situation is resolved, Lukaku is also not performing well on the pitch.

Romelu has not lived up to his expectations. He has only scored 2 goals in his last 13 games and is struggling at Chelsea.

Why will Chelsea not sell Lukaku to Tottenham Hotspurs?

Chelsea has spent £97.5 million to sign Romelu Lukaku from Inter. The Belgian’s long term future with the club is in doubt as well. Surely The Blues will not sell Lukaku to rivals because of his great performance with Conte at Inter.

His stats at Inter are even more impressive because he performed immediately after his bad spell with Manchester United. This is all because of his relationship with Tottenham Hotspurs manager Antonio Conte.

The report also states that Paris Saint Germain are looking to sign the Belgian as well. Les Parisian are looking for a Mbappe replacement since Real Madrid are very inclined to sign him.

They will offer £90 million for Romelu Lukaku and surely Chelsea would rather sell him to PSG than to their rivals.
