Tottenham is planning to target many players after signing Antonio Conte as manager.
The former Inter Milan manager plans to sign players from Serie A. He has chosen this option after witnessing the talented players firsthand.
Inter Milan defender Stefan De Vrij is linked to Tottenham. According to Football Insider, Stefan has already told his teammates that he is open to a switch.
How and in which position will Conte rebuild the squad for Tottenham?
It is definitely sure that Spurs will not go looking in the market for a keeper. Hugo Lloris has been a reliable and great option for them. The Frenchman definitely has the capabilities to stay with Spurs for at least 3-4 more years.
Antonio Conte is already looking forward to signing Stefan De Vrij. Spurs are in a solid position when it comes to their wingbacks. Both Sergio Reguilon and Emerson Royal are playing well for them. They will provide more support to the attack instead of the defence.
One area in which Conte looks to improve is the centre-back position. Despite having Cristian Romero and Eric Dier, Spurs are lacking in defence. The addition of Stefan De Vrij will definitely help The Lilywhites.
The manager is keen to strengthen the midfield as well.
Juventus midfielder Weston Mckenzie is a great option but The Bianconeri might keep him.
Another option for Conte is to sign Franck Kessie from AC Milan. Kessie is more of a defensive midfielder. If Franck Kessie will come then possibly Tanguy and Kessie will have more of a defensive role. However, Oliver Skipp and Hojberg have become regular starters as well which leaves Dele Alli on the bench.
When it comes to attacking, Tottenham has a plethora of options. The Lilywhites have Bryan Gil, Son Heung Ming, Harry Kane, Lo Celso, Lucas Moura.
The main question is whether Harry Kane will stay or not, irrespective of whether Spurs will have a world-class striker. This is because Vlahovic to Spurs is very likely.
If Harry Kane arrives then Conte will prefer a line-up of 3-5-2 with Vlahovic and Kane up front.
These signings will strengthen Tottenham a lot and will make them a contender for sure.
