After a disappointing defeat against Chelsea in the EFL Cup semi-final first leg, Tottenham Hotspur will welcome Morecambe in the F.A Cup third-round tie on Sunday afternoon.
Antonio Conte’s side displayed a lacklustre performance in midweek and were already 2-0 down before the interval. But, there wasn’t much fight from the away side in the second half to get one back to stay in the tie for the second leg at home.
The Italian boss has stated after the game that his side is way behind the top teams like Chelsea. And they need to work on many different things to compete against the big teams.
Meanwhile, Spurs are currently sitting in sixth in the Premier League table with 33 points in 18 games. They are two points behind the fourth-placed Arsenal who have played two extra games than their arch-rival.
