Tottenham Hotspur is keen on strengthening the forward line in January

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly exploring the possibility of signing two attackers in this January transfer window as per the report in the English outlet Daily Mail

Spurs have struggled to find the back of the net this term. Antonio Conte’s side has scored the fewest goals among the top seven teams in the Premier League. They have only registered 23 goals in 18 games in the league.

According to the report, Tottenham manager Antonio Conte will discuss with the club’s chairman Daniel Levy the planning for this January transfer window. The Italian manager wants to strengthen his squad before the end of this month to achieve all the objectives at the end of this season.

The report further claims that Spurs are looking to sign two attacking players in January. And they are linked with a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore. The north London club was previously eyeing a move for the Spain international in the summer. And they have reignited their interest in the Wolves man.

Can Tottenham Hotspur sign two forward players in January?

Signing two attacking players in January will be a very good addition for Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs are struggling with their attack as the talisman Harry Kane hasn’t had a great time in this campaign. And another forward player Son Heung-Min has sustained an injury that will keep him out for a few weeks.

So, signing attackers has been an absolute necessity for Antonio Conte. With Steven Bergwijn looking to move away from north London and Dele Alli enduring yet another difficult campaign, the Lillywhites are short in numbers for the attacking department.

Therefore, it will be interesting to see how much money Daniel Levy will let the Italian manager spend this month. The Spurs chairman has been accused of not spending big on the transfer market. And having already spent a few in the summer, it will be interesting to see how much the former Inter Milan manager will get to strengthen his squad in January.

Meanwhile, after a disappointing first-leg defeat against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final. Tottenham Hotspur will welcome the Blues in their backyard. With the hope of turning the two-goal deficit around and going through to the final of the EFL Cup. Although it will be tough to beat Thomas Tuchel’s side by three goals margin. It won’t be impossible for the home side with the help of the backing of home fans.
