Tottenham extends the contract with Ben Davies

Tottenham Sutton

Tottenham have extended Ben Davies contract up to 2025. Davies has found his footing once again under Antonio Conte last season. The Wales international was one of the more important players on the team as they end the season on the 4th. Davies made 43 appearances across all competitions for Tottenham last season and scored one goal and an assist. 28 of those appearances came from starts in the Premier League.

Davies has rejuvenated his career and is looking rock solid at the back three for Tottenham. His stellar performances have been rightfully rewarded as he gets an extended contract until 2025 which would mean he will stay at Tottenham for 11 years.

Davies has scored 6 goals and made 22 assists for Tottenham throughout his career in North London. Although he has been unable to win any silverware with Tottenham so far. Davies would be hoping to change that in the upcoming season.

Ben Davies opens up

Ben Davies talked about his new contract and busy schedule with the world cup on the horizon.

“I’m delighted to sign my new contract. After last season and the summer, the club decided that there’s no more exciting time than right now to be at this club. I  was enjoying my football and when the opportunity from the club came to extend my contract, I was more than happy to do so.

I’ve had some really enjoyable times here, it really feels like home now and the story continues. This is a significant amount of time in football when careers are short and people move around a lot. ‘s an honor for me to be here. There’s still a good core of us that have been here a very long time now. We’ve brought players in that will improve the squad and hopefully make us more competitive throughout the season.

We have a pretty jam-packed schedule around the World Cup but it’s an exciting time for club and country. It’ll be a bit strange stopping mid-season but I can’t wait, it’s been a long time since Wales have been there.”
