Thomas Tuchel gets sacked, he will leave Bayern after season ends

German reports state that Thomas Tuchel, the former Chelsea boss, delivered a strong message to his players. That is after facing a sack by Bayern Munich. In his first speech post-sacking, he addressed those who were pleased to see him depart.

Last week, Tuchel was dismissed from Bayern due to the team’s poor Bundesliga performance. However, he will stay at the club until the season’s end as they seek for a new manager.

Defeats against Bayer Leverkusen and VfL Bochum in the Bundesliga, coupled with a surprising loss to Lazio in the Champions League round-of-16, prompted the board to part ways with Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel said: “There are no longer discussions every week, everyone knows about it. We can still achieve something, we have to win. Everyone can show up for the new coach now.”

Who might replace Thomas Tuchel as new Bayern manager?

Tuchel’s strained relationships with key players, including Joshua Kimmich, may be one of the main reasons for his departure.

In his first meeting with the players after the news broke, Tuchel aimed to inspire them for the remainder of the season. He delivered a special message directed towards those who might be in pleasure with his departure.

Bayern’s loss against Leipzig leaves them eight points behind Bayer Leverkusen. Xabi Alonso, Leverkusen’s head coach, is rumored to replace Thomas Tuchel. Tuchel, eager to return to Premier League football following his departure from Chelsea in September 2022, is reportedly interested in his next move.
