Tottenham Hotspur failed to beat the 10 man Southampton side on Tuesday afternoon’s Premier League and only to draw by 1-1.
The hosts went ahead into the game courtesy of a great strike from captain James Ward-Prowse but the lead didn’t last long as the visitors equalized the game from the penalty spot before the interval. Mohammed Salisu was shown a red card in the first half and Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side had to play with the 10 men for almost an hour.
Following this result, Spurs are currently sitting sixth in the league with 30 points in 17 games and on the other hand, Southampton is 13th in the table with 21 points in 19 games.
