Saul Niguez Has Signed For Chelsea On Loan For €5m

About Football Express UK

Chelsea Have Signed Saul Niguez on loan from Atletico Madrid on Transfer Deadline Day. According to Fabrizio Romano, Atletico Madrid has allowed the player to go on loan with a  €5m loan fee.

This comes after Chelsea didn’t wish to buy the player on a transfer and insisted on a loan move. The Spanish midfielder wished to leave the club this season for a new challenge in another league. With this signing Chelsea have made their squad depth even more talented. In theory, the club can now have two functioning starting 11 squads. Many would be amazed as to how Chelsea can make such a brilliant signing this season already signing Romelu Lukaku.

It must be said Chelsea is a club that has one of the best financial situations in the world. Due to the club’s brilliant transfer policy and the academy/ loaning structure. The club generates a lot of money from simply player sales. It must be stated that the club won the UEFA Champions League last season. Because of this, the club has been able to invest its winnings into multiple parts of the squad.

Saul Niguez is a 26-year-old actor. He is now playing for Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid. The player has been with the club since 2008 when he joined Real Madrid’s under-17 team. In 2013, he was promoted to Atletico Madrid’s first team. During the same season, he was loaned to Rayo Vallecano, who he helped avoid relegation from La Liga.

Why has Chelsea Signed Saul Niguez While The Club has 3 World Class Midfielders?

Saul Niguez had a difficult season last year. He scored two goals and assisted on one goal in 33 games. From Central-Defensive-Midfielder to Left Winger, the play has been rotated several times. He attempted 52.45 throws per 90 snaps on average, with a pass completion percentage of 47 per cent. For the most part, the player has remained relatively unchanged.

It must be said that if a player of Saul Niquez is available on Loan and Chelsea get him, it is a steal of a deal. Many experts believe that the talented player has either been deeply saturated by the system used by Atletico. It could also be that the player feels too comfortable in Madrid and wishes to Challenge himself. It must be noted that even after this loan ends, the player has another 4 years left on his current contract with Atletico.
