Romelu Lukaku to end his chapter with Chelsea

Chelsea Stadium

Chelsea could reportedly finally get rid of Romelu Lukaku as Napoli prepare for the potential departure of their star striker, Victor Osimhen.

For Chelsea, offloading Lukaku would mark the end of a tumultuous chapter. The Belgian striker has had a mixed tenure at Stamford Bridge, and a move to Napoli could offer him a fresh start.

The Belgian has already agreed personal terms with Napoli and is keen to work with Conte once more, having played arguably the best football of his career under the Italian’s management.

Meanwhile, PSG would like to complete the signing of Osimhen as quickly as possible to replace Kylian Mbappe who has already left for Real Madrid. With financial considerations and strategic priorities at play, the coming weeks will be crucial in determining the outcome of these high-stakes transfers.

Lukaku finally getting rid from West London!

Romelu Lukaku penned a five-year contract when he returned to Chelsea, having played a starring role in Inter’s 2020/21 Serie A title win, and his high wages have prevented him from leaving on a permanent basis despite it being clear that he has no future in west London.

Lukaku’s future with the Blues has been the subject of speculation this summer. He spent last season on loan at Roma where he scored 21 goals in all competitions for the Serie A club. The 31-year-old was recently part of the Belgium squad that reached the last-16 of Euro 2024.

The Belgian now strongly wanted to freely play in a new team for which he is potentially looking to his former Inter Milan’s boss Antonio Conte, who is now in charge of Italian side Napoli, to build another positive start and triumph to his glittering career.

Stamford Bridge to welcome Napoli’s striker Victor Osimhen

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is ready to complete his long-awaited move away from the Serie A giants in a deal that promises to unleash Chelsea on the summer transfer market.

The Blues have long been one of the main pretenders to signing Osimhen, yet they have been forced to drop out of the race because of Napoli’s extravagant demands for the Nigeria international striker.

The Serie A giants have been adamant they will not move from the hitman’s €130 million release clause, and while this has also put off Arsenal and Manchester United from making a bid, PSG remain locked in discussions with them.

Napoli have told Chelsea that they are willing to lower their asking price for Victor Osimhen, according to reports in Italy.

The Serie A club have agreed to let Osimhen leave this summer but their president, Aurelio de Laurentiis, is holding out for a team to trigger the Nigeria international’s €130m (£110.8m) clause.
