Romelu Lukaku is coming back to Chelsea earlier than expected to understand where he wants to be. He needs to make a decision about his future. Thus he is returning back early. He plays for the Belgian National team as their No.9 and is Chelsea’s No. 9 as well.
Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea
Romelu has made this return to Stamford Bridge for the second time in his career. However, things have not really worked out. He has only started 16 Chelsea games in the Premier League. He has also scored 15 goals in 44 games played for Chelsea. Moreover, Lukaku is contracted to be at Chelsea till 2026.
The reason why Lukaku is on his way back is that he has an uncertain future at Chelsea. Earlier he expressed some unhappy views to the media in Italy. He said that he was struggling in Thomas Tuchel‘s system. Furthermore, when Chelsea were about to buy him in the summer of 2021, he expressed happiness and desire to join. One year hence and his future is difficult to certain. Thus Chelsea have called him back to smooth everything over.
Lukaku will return back to London and go right away to Chelsea Football Club and begin sorting out his future. He will need to come to a conclusion by the end of the summer transfer window if he wants to say or go.
However, he must be careful because there could be a chance that Inter Milan might opt out of the return deal. This is because any loan deal will set to cost around 20 million euros. However, currently, Inter Milan are looking to spend their money only after heavy thought. This thinking might reject Lukaku from their transfer plans. At this time very, a penny is being spent carefully and Inter Milan may not want to engage in any sort of deal for him. A transfer would mean a spending of over 90 million euros while a loan will cost around 20 million euros. They are hesitant to spend either amount.
