Aston Villa are set to make yet another signing, this time involving Rangers striker Rory Wilson as he undergoes medical.

The Steven Gerrard-managed club will announce the official arrival of their new signing Rory Wilson from Rangers. The gaffer has already pulled off quite a few transfers in the initial half including Boubacar Kamara and Diego Carlos.

The young striker from Rangers was pictured after he underwent his medical test for his new club. With another signing made, it appears as though Gerrard will not stop just yet and could make more transfers possible.

Aston Villa to have a new Striker

Aston Villa are almost set to complete the deal with Rangers in the coming days for Rory Wilson.

The 16-year-old wonderkid is set to don the Villa outfit next season and work under former Rangers gaffer Steven Gerrard. The Villa boss would be keen to add more threat in the front line ahead of the next season.

Moreover, at 16, the player could be groomed well under the gaffer and a legend of the sport himself, Gerrard. The manager is on the verge of managing his first full season with the English club in the forthcoming campaign.

He will look to bolster the squad and aim to maintain consistency unlike last season ending the campaign in bad taste. After joining the season mid-way, the manager did decent work to get some hope back for the fans.

However, it remains to be seen what he could bring to the Villa Park this coming season. A tough season awaits but with the signings already made, Gerrard looks ready to compete well with other clubs.

Wilson has time ahead of him but he will need to keep pushing himself to be at a competitive level. Moreover, learning under the manager and the other players, the new striker could flourish well to be a great scorer.
