Ralf Rangnick to be given a £100 million budget for the January window

About Football Express UK

Manchester United are reportedly planning to give Ralf Rangnick a major boost in the transfer window. Ralf will be the interim manager till the end of the season and will shift into a consultancy role afterwards.

According to The Mirror, the board is confident that Ralf has the capabilities to turn the club around. They will hand him £100 million to compete with other clubs and to possibly bring great players in January.

As of the current situation, Manchester United will face Arsenal without the guidance of their new manager because of Visa issues.

What are the targets for Ralf Rangnick in January?

Amadou Haidara

The Malian footballer is very familiar with Ralf Rangnick. Coincidentally it was Ralf who signed him back in 2019 when he was at RB Leipzig

As of now, Haidara has made 100 appearances for RB Leipzig. He is a dynamic midfielder who tirelessly works defensively and often plays as a box to box midfielder. He has good attacking attributes as well, coincidentally he even scored against Manchester United last season in the Champions League.

Haidara would fit brilliantly into Rangnick’s high-pressure system. He will definitely give more competition to Pogba, Van De Beek, Fred and Mctominay.

This transfer also seems perfect from the financial perspective. His estimated price is at £40 million.

Christopher Nkunku

According to SportBild journalist, Christian Faulk, Manchester United are closely monitoring Nkunku.

Another great RB Leipzig player and specifically playmaker. Nkunku has made his name over the years but this season he is having the best start.

He has 25 goal contributions overall this season for Leipzig. Nkunku is also shining in the Champions League, he has 7 goals and three assists and is the third most productive player. Christopher even scored a hattrick against Manchester City, this is a feat that not many players can boast about.

He has 5 goals and 8 assists in the Bundesliga which makes him the second-highest amongst attacking midfielders. Only the great Thomas Muller bests him in the league.

Getting Christopher would be a good option for United because they can possibly run out of options. The future of Lingard and Van De Beek is possibly unknown since West Ham is monitoring Jesse and many other clubs are monitoring VDB.
