Chelsea and Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling have reached an agreement over a potential transfer to the bridge this summer.
The City forward has been under the radar of many clubs across Europe but Chelsea are well placed to sign. Raheem Sterling is set to make a move from the Etihad in the transfer window to don the Blues outfit.
This comes after the Mancunian club made impact signings such as Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez this summer. The lack of game time Sterling might get next season under Guardiola seems to be bothering the forward.
The same is the case with Gabriel Jesus who has decided to join Arsenal in the forthcoming season. Now, Sterling, like Jesus will depart the club for a new side in search of regular game time.
Sterling to Chelsea- Done deal?
The deal between the two clubs is still yet to be completed, however, the forward has reached personal terms. Moreover, it appears as though City will be more than willing to let go off Sterling this summer.
A deal with Chelsea will mostly go through as they intend to place a bid of £35m for the forward. However, some sources also suggest that it could upwards of £40m with add-ons, but remains to be seen.
Assuming a deal goes through, Chelsea will bank on the likes of Havertz and Sterling for the goals. The Blues were almost close to signing Raphinha from Leeds, however, it seems like Barcelona could just hijack the deal.
Sterling would be keen to work under manager Thomas Tuchel as the gaffer would prefer him as his main forward.
While the Raphinha transfer saga might end soon as the race is still on, Sterling to Chelsea almost seems imminent. It is only a matter of time before Chelsea announces Sterling as an official Blues player.
