PSG are plotting a sensational move to turn their fortunes around after a humiliating loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League.

The Parisian giants crashed out of Europe’s greatest cup competition in the Round-Of-16. A Karim Benzema hat trick sent Los Blancos to the next round. PSG are desperate to make changes after a gut-wrenching loss.

Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly contacted Tottenham over sporting director Fabio Paratici following their Champions League capitulation against Real Madrid. The French giants are believed to be in the market for a new sporting director with current chief Leonardo set to be axed.

ANOTHER HUMILIATION FOR PSG

PSG looked a step closer to qualifying after Kylian Mbappe put them ahead in the second leg. However, the Parisians crumbled under pressure yet again as they look for that elusive first-ever Champions League trophy.

The French forward stole the show with a dramatic winner in the first leg. He also opened the scoring at the Santiago Bernabeu shortly before half-time.

Karim Benzema then struck a stunning second-half hat-trick for Los Blancos as PSG endured yet another Champions League collapse, leaving their European dream once again in tatters.

To make matters worse for them, star man Mbappe looks set to leave for free. The Frenchman looks almost certain to join Madrid at the end of the season.

NEW DIRECTOR AT PSG?

President Naseer Al-Khelaifi was reportedly summoned to Doha, to talk about changes at the club. Everything points to a crisis for the team which had one of the biggest transfer windows of all time this summer.

According to reports PSG is looking for a new sporting director to replace Leonardo, who’s currently holding the spot. The Brazilian’s relationship with the club is at its lowest according to reports from Italy and France.

His time at the club looks as good as over. PSG have marked Spurs sporting director Paratici as a potential replacement. They have also enquired about a possible move for the Italian.

Although it is unlikely that the Italian will leave, having only joined the club last June. But PSG’s stature as one of the wealthiest clubs in the world could change things.

Since joining Spurs, Paratici secured the deals of Juventus duo Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski. He also played a key role in convincing manager Antonio Conte.

According to reports from Italy, Naseer Al-Khelaifi has blamed Leonardo for their UCL failures. He thinks the club hasn’t planned properly and needed more in the transfer window.

This was after the club signed Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Georginio Wijnaldum for free along with star right-back Achraf Hakimi.

PROBLEMS MOUNTING FOR PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN

Al-Khelaifi is himself in the spotlight and under investigation from UEFA following PSG’s exit amid reports that he stormed Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu to confront officials.

According to ESPN, the Qatari owner made his way from the presidential box to the dressing room area, along with Leonardo, in the immediate aftermath of the full-time whistle, while labelling the officiating “shameful”.

The pair reportedly located the referee’s room and banged on the door. AS quoted that one witness heard the PSG president shout “I’m going to kill you” after a Madrid employee attempted to film him.

UEFA is believed to have since requested footage to establish what really went on in the minutes following the end of the match.
