The Premier League has reported stated to clubs to test Vaccine Passports for fans attending the matches. This notice comes after the government orders for places with more than a certain amount of people. As seen a few weeks ago, places like nightclubs will be forced to use the NHS covid pass until September end. This rule has been suggested for large gatherings as well such as football matches and concerts.
Clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea have been informed to have a trail of the covid passport. Clubs like Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have stated that they will be allowing fans who enter the match with a negative test as well. These two matches will be used as a case study for the future of this system. With this, the Premier league can check if this system works. If so then they can host fans in other stadiums around the nation as well.
It has been stated that fans will have to be vaccinated with both doses of the vaccine. If not, they won’t be allowed inside the stadium premises. Last season the absence of fans within stadiums was widely noticed. Without fans, the football-watching experience was impacted quite harshly. No fans in the stadium forced the need for plugged fan chants and shouts during the games. With Fans being allowed back into the stadiums, maybe the dullness from last season shall have vanished.
What is the plan by the Premier league Clubs in Relation To The Vaccine Passports.
The clubs have proposed a plan to use the NHS app for the activation of tickets. If done so, fans who have a recent negative test on the app shall be allowed to the stadiums. With the recent surge in mutations of the Covid Virus. Observing such steps being implemented for the betterment of public health is quite amazing. By doing so, the health of the locals residing near the stadiums won’t be put at a higher risk.
Hopefully, such steps and rules can help avoid the situation that occurred during the Euro 2021 Finals at Wembley. The fans in England have been waiting to watch football at the clubs they follow and hopefully shall abide by the rules stated by the higher authorities.
