Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly in talks to sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United

About Football Express UK

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly in talks with Marcus Rashford’s representatives over a possible transfer to Paris. The French club wishes to add another forward to their ranks. Christophe Galtier had revealed earlier that they are “working” on signing another attacker. On the topic, he spoke to reporters ahead of the club’s clash with Montpellier:

“We want another striker to come in. With a busy schedule, we want arrivals. The club is working, I am in direct contact with Luis Campos. Luis is in direct contact with our president. We must not make any mistakes. Will this player arrive? We don’t know. It has to be a real plus.”

According to reports in France, Marcus Rashford is PSG’s leading target. They have already made contact with England International’s agents. PSG are apparently searching for a forward who can play wide and in as a centre-forward, and Rashford fits the bill.

But what is Manchester United’s stance over the future of Marcus Rashford?

Rashford is eager for a new challenge, though PSG have not yet approached United with an offer. His brother and agent, Dwayne Rashford apparently met with PSG representatives last week. Rashford only has 12 months in his contract with United, though the club have an option of a 12-month extension, which puts them in a strong position to ask for a high fee.

The 24-year-old has been consistently a fantastic player for the Red Devils, though he struggled to make his mark last season, where he scored only five goals and two assists in 31 appearances. There has been speculation that he may depart for newer grounds this summer.

Throughout his tenure, Marcus Rashford has scored 93 goals and registered 57 assists in 303 appearances. He has recently been training for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Brentford.
