Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta could give the first team minutes to yet another youngster Omari Hutchinson as per the report in English outlet The Sun (via Mirror).

The 18-year-old academy graduate was named among the substitutes but didn’t feature in any of the games. Meanwhile, the youngster took part in the first-team training session ahead of the game against Brentford. And he could be named in the matchday squad.

The midfielder grew up playing Futsal and had the chance of meeting Pele in a tournament. The World Cup winner praised the 18-year-old after watching his excellent skills.

Meanwhile, Hutchinson has played 13 games with Arsenal’s youth in the Premier League 2, scoring five goals and notching up as many assists. He also played four games in Papa John’s Trophy, scoring two goals.

Will Mikel Arteta give first-team opportunities to Omari Hutchinson?

Arsenal youngsters are thriving in this season under Mikel Arteta. As Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Gabriel Martinelli have all been playing first-team football this season. Charlie Patino is another academy graduate who got a chance, while Florian Balogun played a few games at the start of the season before leaving on loan.

Therefore, Omari Hutchinson should be optimistic about his chances to play first-team football under Arteta. If the youngster can impress the Spaniard in training. The Gunners boss is looking to rebuild the squad with talented youngsters. And the north London club has the youngest squad in this season in the Premier League.

So, the young midfielder should work hard and learn under the tutelage of the Spanish boss, develop his career and establish himself as a starter for Arsenal.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are currently sixth in the league with 39 points in 22 games. Four points behind the fourth-placed Manchester United with three games in hand. So, the north London club will be desperate to earn all three points in this weekend’s fixture against Brentford and mount a challenge for the top-four finish.
