Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal: Preview and Predicted Line-up

After the midweek fixture against Liverpool was postponed, Arsenal will return to action on Sunday evening against Nottingham Forest in the F.A Cup.

Despite losing the game against Manchester City in their last game. Mikel Arteta’s side displayed a promising performance. And the Emirates faithful can be optimistic about their future with the talented youngsters in their squad.

Although the North London club started the new campaign poorly, they are currently sitting fourth in the Premier League table with 35 points in 20 games. This has been a great surprise as no one expected the Gunners to change for the Champions League places at the start of the season.

Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal: Preview

This will be the first F.A Cup meeting between these two sides. And on the previous four occasions, both sides have progressed to the next round two times each. The Gunners have come away victorious five of the last six encounters against the Reds.

Arsenal has only been eliminated from the F.A Cup third round tie only once in the last 25 occasions. And surprisingly the only defeat came against Nottingham Forest in the 2017-2018 season.

On the other hand, Forest is looking to progress to the fourth round of this competition in back-to-back seasons. Previously they were able to do that in the 2003/04 and 2004/05 seasons.
