Newcastle United are targeting 4 Premier League players

About Football Express UK

The Saudi Arabia Public Fund acquired the ownership rights of Newcastle United. The owners are the richest in football history, even richer than Manchester City and PSG.

This gives The Magpies a major boost in the transfer window. They will target big-name players from big clubs.

According to the Northern Echo, Newcastle has made contact with players whose deals are close to ending or those who are struggling to get playtime.

Here are the 4 players which Newcastle United have targeted.

James Tarkowski

Tarkowski has been impressive and consistent for The Clarets.  He is a centre back and has been playing for Burnley since 2016.

He is very calm with the ball and possesses great technique as a ball-playing defender.

Divock Origi

The Belgian is quite underrated and has helped Liverpool often. The fans often call him a super sub because of his quick adaptability to any game, especially the important ones.

He has scored in the comeback match against Barcelona, in the CL final against Spurs and on countless other occasions. Whenever he scores it’s always a great goal and especially a clinical goal.

Newcastle United are considering him as a loan option.

Jesse Lingard

The Manchester United forward is a great option for many clubs with Spurs and West Ham monitoring him. Jesse can leave United because of a lack of game time.

He has shown signs of reviving his career and can return to his consistency if given a chance.

Oleksandr Zinchenko

The Ukrainian is underrated, he is an academy graduate of Shakhtar Donetsk and does not come from any reputed fancy academy. Despite this, he played brilliantly last season for Pep.

He is a critical component of Manchester City’s full-back method of play. Zinchenko started his career as a midfielder and master tactician Pep is certainly using his best abilities. Oleksandr does not play like a usual wingback, he does not get up and down the wing to deliver crosses.

His playstyle is different and particularly unique, he is a creative defender. Zinchenko has fantastic passing and also can dribble in messy situations. His main impact is in the central area where he often utilises the space around him, Zinchenko has a high passing rate in almost every game.

Joao Cancelo’s amazing form has reduced playtime for Zinchenko. He might consider a loan move in January as well.
