Under former teammate Steven Gerrard, Coutinho has flourished and regained his mojo. Coutinho has impressed Villa so much that they want to make the move permanent. There were talks between Barcelona and Villa regarding Coutinho.
However in a turn of events, Newcastle United have entered into play. They have started talks with Barcelona for Coutinho who has a 40m price tag. This is a huge blow to Aston Villa as they wanted the midfielder at Villa Park for the next season.
The Robinho

Manchester City were in the same position as Newcastle years ago however they managed to get Robinho which changed their fortunes. Newcastle need their Robinho and Coutinho could prove to be the one they need.
