Newcastle United to reunite with the former striker?

About Football Express UK

Newcastle United have been eyeing former player and current Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Mitrovic has had an amazing season for Fulham as he has found the back of the net 43 times this season. This has helped Fulham to get back into the top flight and will be competing in the Premier League.

Former Newcastle player Jose Enrique believes that Mitrovic was one of the players who could help Newcastle. He believes Mitrovic could take them up a level considering the season he has had so far.

“For me, I love him (Aleksandar Mitrovic). I always loved this player. Even before he did his numbers in the Championship.

I love players with character and energy. He’s a kind of a striker that fights anybody, he doesn’t care. He’s a typical Number 9 that wants to score and score more goals. I love the fighting spirit that he has. He’s always a player I loved. I’m not saying this because of the numbers he did in the Championship last season that was actually a record. He could definitely be a target for Newcastle. I really, really like him.”

Mclaren believes in Mitrovic

Former Newcastle manager Steve Mclaren believed in Mitrovic and had spoken highly about him on several occasions.

“Aleksandar’s got the letters ic at the end of his name so he’s an ‘ic’ and my advice to defenders is to be very careful around him, Like many Eastern European players he can be volatile. That’s the emotion they’ve got. They’re very passionate about their countries and their football and they show it on the pitch.

Aleksandar arrived with a certain reputation but he’s the nicest lad ever. He never sulks and is always all smiles. But behind those smiles he has an assassin’s eyes.”
