New Rising Star Striker to Sign in Chelsea

For football lovers, it’s not just about the 90 minutes. They like to taste all types of news. The more this season is going to its business end, the more delicious transfer news is coming.
Across the globe football transfer news in Europe has been a matter of discussion for all football lovers. “Will Harry Kane go to Man U” or “Will Mbappe leave PSG ” etc. are always surrounding our minds. A new name that was expected on the list is Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez.

It was 4 years ago when Kylian Mbappe of France won Football World Cup in Russia at just 18 years of age. He is just 22 now. Miraculously Darwin Nunez is also 22 now. And he can put Mbappe in a great challenge. Why? It’s not because of his 6ft1 frame. He has recorded 32 goals from 37 appearances across all competitions in 2021/22. His goal per match ratio is nothing short of brilliant.

The current Benfica striker has had this season tremendously brilliant. His amazing mind-soothing performance and goal-scoring capabilities have made us mesmerized. Where Mbappe scored 20 goals from 28 matches, Nunez has scored 24 goals from just 24 encounters. Thus many top clubs in Europe are trying to land him on their home ground. Namely, they are PSG, Man U and of course Chelsea.

He is a typical no. 9 box striker. He has scored goals against many big teams in the UEFA Champions League as well. Now Chelsea needs to pay almost 60 million euros to Benfica in order to get him. No wonder his price has tripled from what Benfica paid Almeria for him in 2020.
If paid so, he will be 5th highest expensive buy of Chelsea in their history. Also, Chelsea needs a replacement for Lukaku and Nunez will be a handy option. All the football lovers are waiting eagerly to see Havertz-Nunez partnership.
