One of the new signings made by Arsenal, Marquinhos could leave the club on loan this summer to pick up more regular game time.

The former Sao Paulo ace took the leap to the English top flight for £3m in order to join Arsenal. The 18-year-old has done exceptionally well in the Brazilian league which is why the Gunners made a swoop for him.

However, it appears as though the youngster may not break through the ranks in the first team setup next season. The Gunners are exploring the possibility of sending him out on loan to get regular game time this summer.

Marquinhos to leave Arsenal on loan

According to the Mirror, Arsenal technical director Edu believes Marquinhos will need time to adapt in the Premier League. Moreover, Edu is convinced the player is a part of the future for a long-term project with Arsenal.

In an interview with TNT Sports, he expressed his stance on the young sensation and his future. He said-

“We have to be careful. Marquinhos is part of a long-term project, he needs to adapt and enter into this process,”

“We have to be calm, I told him and his family that we have to protect him. We’ll take care of Marquinhos.”

Moreover, William Saliba followed the same process with Arsenal letting him out on a season-long loan this summer. Edu further expressed the need to send the player out on loan, he said-

“We’re delighted William is joining us,”

“Many teams wanted him but he decided he wanted to come to us and be part of our future. He will stay in France next season for more experience and then we look forward to him joining our group.”

“The way he has adapted to the team, the maturity that he’s shown at 21 years old, carry on doing it. We will keep developing him, he has huge potential, he is already a top player and we have to make him even better.

He looked ready to me today.”

The youngsters would hope to relish a good season on loan and break through the ranks of the first team.
