Nathan Ake told by Manchester City to find new club

About Football Express UK

Manchester City have expressed their stance to defender Nathan Ake by telling him he is free to leave the club this summer.

Nathan Ake is on the brink of joining a new club this summer after understanding the club’s stance regarding him. Manchester City have communicated with the defender and have told him he is free to find a new club.

The management does not consider him to be an integral part of the project in the forthcoming season. Moreover, there are numerous clubs circling around to secure the services of the defender.

Manchester City defender to join Chelsea?

According to Football Insider, Manchester is ready to let Ake leave if a suitable offer comes by and if the club finds a replacement.

Moreover, with the defender put on the transfer market, clubs have been put on red alert. Rivals Chelsea have upped their pursuit to sign the defender from the Mancunians ahead of the other clubs.

Thomas Tuchel is desperately in need of defenders after the exits of Rudiger and Christensen. He has turned to Nathan Ake and Matthijs de Ligt to secure the defensive cover this summer.

Ake is a quality centre-back who has decent experience in the English top-flight and could add a lot to the Blues. Moreover, he could be Tuchel’s requirement more than ever at this stage and a move could very well happen.

The Sky Blues value the player to be around £50 million and will sell him only if the fee is met. The move would certainly prove to be beneficial for both the club and the player.

The fact that he hasn’t been able to cement his spot as regular at City, things could change under Tuchel. However, it remains to be seen if the Blues gaffer will do everything to facilitate this move for Nathan Ake.
