Best in-form player right now : Mohamed Salah or Benzema?

Mohamed Salah is in the form of his life. He has had the best start ever in his career scoring consecutively in 10 games. The Egyptian international has scored 15 goals and has 5 assists. He was given the man of the match honour against Manchester United as he scored a hat-trick.

Karim Benzema is also in the best form of his life scoring 9 goals in 9 La Liga games. He has a total G/A of 19 in 12 games(Source: Transfermarkt)

Currently, Benzema leads the race to win the Pichichi.

For his country, the Frenchman scored against Belgium in the semifinals and also against Spain in the finals. His goals along with Mbappe proved to be crucial as France then won the Nations League.

The argument can be made that Benzema plays in a comparatively easier league than Salah. This does not imply that it is easy for Benzema and he is the best in form player after Mohamed Salah.

Can Salah win the golden boot?

Currently, Salah is leading the golden boot race. After scoring a hat-trick against United, he passed Erling Haaland and Lewandowski.  Erling Haaland has 9 goals in six games this season. Salah and Lewandowski are one goal ahead of Erling Haaland. Karim Benzema is also in the league amassing 9 goals in 9 league games. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi: the undisputed goats of football. These two should not be cancelled out. It is just the beginning of the season and either of them can end up being the top scorer.
