If we talk about the stalwarts of Liverpool in the 21st century, definitely their Egyptian International star winger forward Mohamed Salah will be one of them. He has had an ever-cherishable career here in Liverpool.

When he joined there from Italian Club Roma nobody knew him. But his football career has flourished gradually under Jurgen Klopp’s coaching. He has been manifested and has become one of the legends to have ever played for the club.

He has achieved almost everything from Liverpool. He has become the top goal scorer in English Premier League, won EPL and the UEFA Champions League, the ‘one and only’ tournament in European football competition.

The scintillating star is now in search of an unprecedented quadruple for Liverpool as no other club in British football history has done this earlier. If achieved, definitely it’s going to be a milestone of success both for him and his club.

But as per nature’s rule, every good thing must come to the end. His contract with the Red Army is going to end this year in June, the upcoming summer transfer window. It’s the business end of the season as well as the end of April also. But till now no sign of negotiations or no new contract has produced positive output.

This incident puts an unuttered question, “Is this going to be the end of an Era?”. Surprisingly, Salah himself doesn’t know what is going to happen to him in the near future.

When he was asked whether he was confident about remaining at Anfield for many years to come, he told, “I don’t know. I think the fans know what I want, but in the contract, it’s not everything about money at all. So I don’t know, I can’t tell you exactly.” But he cleared that his desire has always been to remain at Liverpool. He said,” Yeah this club means a lot to me- I have enjoyed my football here more than anywhere, I gave the club everything and everybody saw that. I’ve had a lot of unbelievable moments here, winning trophies, individual goals, individual trophies. It’s like a family here.”

The 29-year-old also insisted that he is not concerned about his future. He said,” The season hasn’t finished yet, so let’s finish it in the best possible way- that’s the most important thing.”

Meanwhile, according to him, his age is inconsequential. But whenever in future he is going to leave Anfield it’ll be deeply emotional, he feels. Salah’s desire to stay at Liverpool for more years has been cleared by him. He is in the 9th position of the club’s all-time top scorer with 155 nets and he desires to be the first before leaving the club. For Liverpool and Salah fans, hope for the best.
