While Martin Odegaard has enjoyed a very decent season himself. The attacking midfielder has recorded six goals and five assists in 35 appearances across all competitions this term. (stats via Transfermarkt) Arsenal are currently favourites to finish in the top four in the league and are on course to returning to Champions League football at the end of the season.

Martin Odegaard has even led his side on a couple of occasions this term in the absence of Alexandre Lacazette. Odegaard was also named the captain of his national side Norway, at the age of 22-years of age. The Arsenal attacking midfielder was named captain ahead of the Dortmund star Erling Haaland.

“We will see what he will do.”: Martin Odegaard on Erling Haaland potentially moving to the Premier League

Talking to StadiumAstro about his national teammate’s future ahead of the summer transfer window, Odegaard said:

“We will see what he will do. I don’t know. But, if he is coming to England, he needs to come to us of course. No, I don’t know what he will do but he is a great guy.”

“To be honest we haven’t talked too much about it. I know he has so many people trying to ask him and to tell him what to do and I don’t want to do that. So, we will have to wait and see.” he added.

When asked about whether Haaland would fit the physical nature of the Premier League, Martin Odegaard said:

“He’s a beast.” “He is strong, he is fast, and I think he has everything. So, I think he can play in every league, in every country to be honest.”
