Marco Asensio says that he has three possible options available with regard to his future. The 26-year-old winger has had a mediocre season despite scoring 10 goals in 31 league appearances in the 2021-2022 season. He might leave this summer due to a lack of game time. Previously Manchester United have the chance to sign the winger. Real Madrid are not keen on keeping him much less giving him a new contract.
“I am focused on the national team. When this concentration is over, we will talk. We will see what I will do with my future. Renew or leave Real Madrid? I think there are three possibilities, there is also the option to stay and fulfill my contract year.”
“My future does not have to depend on whether or not I will have a place in the next World Cup.
“Rumours are part of football, and more so at Real Madrid. High-level players are always associated with it. Many players come out every summer and it’s something we have to live with.”
Clubs interested in Marco Asensio
In addition to Manchester United, clubs such as Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and AC Milan are all interested in Marco Asensio’s services. Any one of these clubs can be one of the possibilities that Asensio speaks about.
It is not clear what Asensio means when he says that he has three possibilities. It could mean that there are three clubs waiting for him, it could mean he wants to fight for his place in the team or it could mean that he has a new deal waiting for him. Either way, Asensio is focused on international football and wants to help Spain in the Nations League as well as the World Cup. He must pick the best possible option because whichever he picks will be key to getting him into the Spanish playing eleven.
