Manchester United make £100m bid for Victor Osimhen

According to various different reports, Premier League giants Manchester United are ready to make a mega bid for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen ahead of a potential move in the summer.

While according to La Repubblica, via Sport Witness, Manchester United have already made a potential €100 million proposal for the Nigerian forward. While Corriere Dello Sport has reported that Premier League giants Arsenal are also lining up a move for the 23-year-old ahead of the summer.

The Napoli forward has been in decent form in front of the goal this term. Osimhen has made a total of 29 appearances across all competitions this term. In this time he has recorded an impressive 17 goals and six assists. (stats via Transfermarkt)

Reports suggest that Napoli are ready to sell the forward in the summer if the right offer comes in. The Italian club are willing to accept bids upwards of €110 million for the inform striker. While Victor Osimhen could also ask for a move away from the club in the summer after his upturn of form this season.

Is Victor Osimhen a good striker option for Manchester United?

Manchester United are set for a massive rebuild in the summer, with new manager Erik ten Hag spearheading the rebuild. A lot of stars are set to leave the Old Trafford in the summer. Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani is set to leave the club on a free transfer. While star Cristiano Ronaldo’s future is still a massive question mark. After the red devils missed out on Champions League qualification.

There is also no confirmation on the future of on-loan striker Anthony Martial. Interim manager Ralf Rangnick has already confirmed that the club need to sign at least two new strikers in the summer transfer window. The red devils have been linked with Inter Milan star Lautaro Martínez in recent weeks. While Benfica striker Darwin Núñez is also linked with the club. The Uruguayan striker is widely expected to leave the Portuguese club in the summer.

Victor Osimhen would really tick a lot of boxes for the red devils. The striker would provide a lot of pace on the counterattacks. While his pace would also be an asset with runs in behind the opposition backline. But the decision for the next club striker still needs to be approved by new manager Erik ten Hag.
