Manchester United reportedly has an interest in a loan move for Christian Pulisic in the winter transfer window. The American forward had strong links with a move in the summer but it failed to materialize. However, sources verified the possibility of a loan move in January due to his likely availability.
There also were links with Newcastle United and Arsenal for the United States international. However, United seems to be the club in lead for the £150,000-a-week star.
Chelsea may resist deals from United for Christian Pulisic
Manchester United showed interest in Pulisic during his Dortmund days but ended up moving to the Blues instead. He started strong in his first season, with 11 goals and 10 assists in all competitions. But he has struggled to replicate such performances due to injuries and competition for places.
After Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure, the Red Devils seek to sign new reinforcements in attack. Pulisic’s versatility and ability to play across the front line make him an attractive option. However, a move to United seems unlikely in the recent future.
The Red Devils are currently Chelsea’s main rivals for a Champions League spot, alongside Newcastle. If Pulisic were to leave on loan, it would likely be to another League to minimize the impact on the Blues.
Meanwhile, United have strong links with Cody Gakpo and Rafael Leao. But they seem unlikely to sign either, after reports of their preference for a temporary loan move.
