Manchester United could possibly make a move for Denzel Dumfries in the current transfer window if Bissaka departs from the club.
Bissaka is said to have been told that he is not required in the current United setup. Moreover, Diego Dalot has been given the nod over Bissaka in recent times.
Moreover, Dalot has impressed in that position. He has been in impeccable form in the pre-season tour of United. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the Red Devils can bring a new right back if Wan-Bissaka makes the move out of Old Trafford this season.
Moreover, United manager Erik Ten Hag greatly appreciates the Dutch right back, writes Romano. However, the 20-times Premier League have not currently entered into any sort of discussions for the player. The Dutch international played a pivotal role for Inter Milan last term. He scored five goals and provided seven assists in the 45 matches that he played for the Italian club.
What does Fabrizio Romano have to say about the possibility of Denzel Dumfries joining United?
Romano wrote in CaughtOffside,
” Manchester United will think of a right back only if Aaron Wan-Bissaka leaves.”
“The club are taking the time in pre-season to assess him and other players.”
“My understanding is that Diogo Dalot is in the plans of Erik ten Hag, with the Portuguese youngster appreciated by the manager.”
“Despite some of the transfer rumours, Jonathan Clauss has never been a Manchester United target, he will soon sign with Olympique Marseille; Denzel Dumfries is appreciated by Ten Hag but there are still no negotiations with Inter Milan.”
The 26-year-old made a move to Inter Milan last year from PSV Eindhoven. Therefore, he still has three years left on his contract.
However, Inter intends on selling the player this season in order to relieve their high wage bill.
There have been reports that anything near € 30 million (£26m) would be enough for Inter to sell the player to another club this season.
